Welcome to Our Aviary
We started our aviary
with two pairs of green ASC registered canaries. Our first year
of hatchlings brought us five males (three from the same nest)
and two hens, which we thought was a miracle! We had previously
owned cockatiels and so when these tiny peeps arrived, we were
astounded at their fragile size. The babies were healthy and grew
up FAST! Learning to band their tiny legs, while gently holding
their frail bodies was really a challenge. Soon they lost their
fuzz, and grew beautiful feathers; and surprisingly resembled
their parents. We now maintain an aviary of typically over 20 canaries, are active members of Local Canary Clubs, and annually participate in several Canary Song Trial Competitions in the Michigan-Ohio area. ... IT'S FUN !!!
All of our home-bred Singers are trained and guaranteed to sing. In fact, some of our singers have achieved show placement (2nd, 3rd, 5th) at Ohio and Michigan competitions in the last two years.
